Sherman (Joseph) Alexie (Jr.) was born in Washington (U.S.)con October 7 in 1966.He worked as an Author, poet, screenwriter and filmmaker.His books have the genre of Native American literature, humor or documentary fiction.The most notable works are  The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, Smoke Signals, Reservation Blues, The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven and War Dances.He received the American Book Award in 1996, the National Book Award in 2007 and the PEN/Faulkner in 2010.He also had hydrocephalus (in Juniors language: with water on the brain).He don’t just survived the illness but he also displaying unusually keen cognitive abilities that led him to learn to read by the age of two.Because of this „special features“ he got the mark of bulling…..This story is really similar to Arnold`s Story.Only with little detail differences.Alexie also switch to a “better” school.After finishing school he waits to get to University but in this waiting period he drinks to much so his first books almost just are about drinking.But as he get to University he got help from his teacher and gets away from alcohol so he writes many books about his problems like in “The absolutely true Diary of a part time Indian”.Now he lives with his indian wife and two kids in Seattle.
