Summary of Chapter 14: “Thanksgiving”

In this Chapter Arnold and his family celebrate Thanksgiving, with a perfectly cooked turkey dinner. But Arnold misses his friend Rowdy coming over to celebrate with the Spirit family, so he draws him a cartoon and decides to go to Rowdy’s house to deliver it to him. Though Rowdy is at home, Arnold has to give his cartoon to his dad because Rowdy doesn’t want Arnold to know that he is there. But Arnold is able to see Rowdy watching him from his bedroom window. Rowdy shows him the finger, but doesn’t rip up the drawing. Junior thinks that this is at least something, that shows that he still has respect for his cartoons and maybe even for him.
